Guests of The Philadelphia Club

The Philadelphia Club, a private club founded in 1834, has occupied its present location since 1850.

 

Dress Code

Gentlemen are requested to wear jacket and tie (and equivalent dress for ladies).
 

House Rules

 
The use of cellphones or other electronic devices is not permitted in any areas of the Clubhouse commonly enjoyed by others (and ringers should be silenced). Guests who wish to use these devices inside the Club may do so in one of the three phone booths on the first floor at the west end of the main hallway.
 

Photographs taken in the interior of the Clubhouse should only be used for private purposes and not posted on any social media sites.

Driving Instructions

From Southbound I-95

Take the Center City exit for Callowhill Street. At the bottom of the ramp, make a right onto Callowhill. Turn left onto either 10th Street or 12th Street and take that to Walnut Street. (You will cross over the following main streets: Vine, Race, Arch, Market, Chestnut and Sansom). Turn right onto Walnut. The Club is the red brick building on the northwest corner of Walnut and 13th Streets.

From Northbound I-95

Take the Center City exit for Callowhill Street. You will exit I-95 from the left. Once on Callowhill Street, follow the directions above.

From NJ Turnpike

Take exit #4 from the New Jersey Turnpike (Route 73). Follow the signs for The Benjamin Franklin Bridge and Route 38. Route 38 will take you to the bridge. Cross the bridge into Philadelphia following the signs for Vine Street. Turn left onto 12th Street and follow the directions above.

From Schuylkill Expressway (I-76)

Take Center City exit following signs for Route 676. Exit 676 at Broad Street (Route 611). Stay straight on exit ramp and cross Route 611 onto Vine Street. Turn right onto 12th Street and follow the directions above.

Parking

Parking is available at the Holiday Inn Garage next to the Club.
